A land and deer management consortium that was founded in 2005 is showing signs of success.
 
The “Tiger Ridge” project, which includes about 2,350 acres of former lumber-company land in northeast Wisconsin saw hints of a mission accomplished in 2008, as several mature bucks were taken by bow and gun-hunters.
 
The land, which was a barren, mature forest at the onset, is now producing quality hunting opportunities.

The photos shown on this page are of deer harvested by lease holders this past season.

Deer & Deer Hunting, which has a 200-acre lease within the project, tasted success with film crews on hand in November 2008.
