Bicentennial Edition of Remington Country Joins Pursuit Channel on Sunday Nights

Remington Country, a pioneering television series that first achieved national broadcast status in the late 1990s, will continue its long-running legacy this fall on the Pursuit Channel.

With a renewed emphasis on North American game – pursued largely by outdoors enthusiasts intrinsic to America’s most iconic hunting and firearms brand – Remington Country will air Sundays in primetime at 8:30 p.m. EST within the Mossy Oak Break-Up Country block, Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. PST, Fridays at 10 a.m. EST and Tuesdays at 6 p.m. EST.

Remington“Remington Country’s move to Pursuit Channel represents a very special honor for our group, as well as an exclusive entertainment treasure for the millions of outdoor enthusiasts whose only access to original outdoor programming is through this network,” said Rusty Faulk, President of Pursuit. “What a privilege it is for Pursuit Channel to play such an important marketing role in the year of Remington’s 200th birthday. For all the folks associated with this network, and in recognition of its two centuries of conservation-mindedness and affordable, innovative excellence in gun making – thanks, Remington!”

The ability to rapidly repurpose its television content socially, and through one of the most heavily trafficked websites in the industry, was a key factor in Remington’s decision to move its programming to Pursuit Channel.

“The network’s repurposing policies, which allows rapid reconnection with enthusiasts, who consume more and more content online and on the move, is, in our estimation, the most efficient model in television distribution,” said Christian Hogg, Director of Marketing Services for the Remington Outdoor Company. “It’s a matter of keeping up with times – actually, staying ahead of the times. That’s a point of pride for Remington for two centuries.”

“We’re also very excited about what MOOSE Media brings to the production efforts of the Remington Country television series – and as a publishing resource for our all-new Remington Country digital magazine,” remarked Jordan Davis, Vice President of New Business and Channel Development for Remington. “There’s a very special level of television and publishing DNA between Remington and MOOSE that combines to create a measure of teamwork and craftsmanship that’s incremental, authentic and authoritative.”

The 2016 edition of Remington Country takes viewers on adventures that include mule deer, whitetails, black bears, feral hogs, bobwhite quail and spring turkeys. Through the late December 2016 close of its current, original-episode schedule, the series features the on-air talents of country singer Mark Wills, Shannon Lansdowne, Brittany Boddington and Courtney Rowland. Remington insiders who appear this season include John Fink, Jay Bunting, Ginger Chandler, Jessica Kallam, Matt Ohlson, Mathew Robinson, Ed Mazzeo and Nick Sachse.

Pursuit Channel, available in more than 42 million U.S. television households, including 1080i HD linear and OTT feeds, is the only audited outdoors television network viewable to every DIRECTV (604 PRST) and DISH Network (393 PRST) subscriber, plus an increasing number of American cable systems. Pursuit also is available in full HD via ROKU and Chrome Cast platforms.
