I was stumped. A little legwork had rewarded me with the discovery of a swamp on public land that held a relatively good number of deer. The tamaracks, spruce, cedar and maples provided great cover for deer by day, and with a brief twilight excursion, they could reach nearby agricultural fields to feed at night.
