Alabama Sets Hunting Season Dates, Regulations

Alabama’s hunting regulations, season bag limits and dates are now available online.

The state’s bow season opens Oct. 15 – a Monday – and includes crossbows, compounds and traditional archery gear.

A five-day muzzleloader season runs Nov. 14-18 along with the archery season. Then the general firearms season opens Nov. 19. The final day of the season is Jan. 31.

Despite a push by different groups and hunters, there are no zones or February dates. Hunting with the aid of bait is not allowed.
