After months of scouting, shed hunting, hanging stands, planting food plots and checking trail cameras, it is time enjoy the season after a lot of hard work. I hunted three days last week and even though I did not see any of the bucks on this year’s hit list, it was great to be back in the stand. With two mornings producing temperatures in the low 20′s, the crisp morning air, clear blue skies and falling leaves were familiar reminders that this is truly my favorite time of the year. I just checked this weekend’s forecast for southwest Iowa and it looks like we will be receiving some much needed rain, which is our food plots desperately need…
