A Louisiana man was hospitalized after a 10-point buck burst from a thicket and attacked him while he was tracking it.
Chad Hebert was tracking the buck after his 13-year old son shot it during a hunting trip, according to this report. Hebert, who lives in Beauregard Parish, has been hunting for years but never has encountered anything like this scary situation.
“He just hopped up and charged me. His antler stuck just below my knee,” Hebert said in the report. “As I was scooting back, I just held its antlers trying to break its neck.”
Hebert was hospitalized for two days. The deer collapsed shortly after the frightening man vs. beast battle.
