History Professor Is A Diehard Deer Hunter

Terry Jones love to hunt, and he’s not inclined to go after a specific antler size or some other standard … unless the notion compels him to do so.

The University of Louisiana-Monroe history professor has killed more than 100 deer during his time in the woods. At 60 years old, he’s been hunting for 47 years and loves every bit of it, as he recounted in this nice feature at StMary’sNow.com

“I still get very excited and sometimes even buck fever,” Jones told the newspaper. “Getting my first glimpse of a deer stepping out on the pipeline or seeing one out in the woods gives me a bit of an adrenaline rush. It’s like a narcotic, and I think it’s that thrill that keeps me going. … If I ever lose that thrill, that will be the day I’ll hang up my waders and start sleeping late.”
