BREAKING NEWS: Possible Record Buck Down In Wisconsin

Details are still coming in, but this one appears to be a legit contender for the state record nontypical crown.

How To Cape A Trophy Buck

On Sept. 18 a hunter near Marion, Wis. killed a buck that is reported to score near 244 inches nontypical on the Boone & Crockett scoring system.

Here’s a first look at the incredible buck.

Three years ago, Deer & Deer Hunting was first on the scene when the current Wisconsin record nontypical was killed by Wayne Schumacher, of Fond du Lac, Wis. D&DH managing editor Jacob Edson and TV producer Chris Hermans got an exclusive first look at that amazing animal that grossed roughly 251 inches. Schumacher’s rack was dried for the required 60 days and measured by a team of certified scorers, earning the record-setting score of 243 6/8 inches.

If early reports are true, this Marion buck could eclipse Schumacher’s buck. We’ll keep you posted as details come in.
