Improvements to the range include rebuilding berms, revamping the drainage system, repairing the roof at the rifle and pistol ranges, repairing or replacing shooting stands and seating, and repainting firing and waiting lines.

In addition to accommodating air gun, rifle, pistol and shotgun shooters, the range has a pro shop plus an education facility, where hunter safety courses are held and other outdoor education opportunities are offered through the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network.

The Tenoroc Public Shooting Range is part of the Tenoroc Fish Management Area.
