Utah is one of the nation’s most beautiful states, with stunning scenery and hunting opportunities its residents and visitors appreciate greatly.
Utah’s Senate approved a bill by a 23-5 vote Wednesday that will more than double the bounty on every coyote killed and reported. Sen. Ralph Okerlund, R-Monroe, sponsored the bill that still requires consideration and approval by the state’s House of Representatives to be fully approved.
Okerlund hopes hunters will kill upwards of 20,000 coyotes annually, spurred by the bounty increase.
