Lon Sherman was searching for sheds today when he noticed something sticking out of the snow about 75 yards ahead of his trail.
I was walking near a cornfield today and saw something about 75 yards ahead of me in the snow. It didn’t seem right, so I put up the binoculars. At first glance, I thought it was some cornstalk refuse, but I decided it warranted further investigation.
I’m glad I did … what a neat way to find an antler! I think this antler belongs to a deer we nicknamed “The White Horned Buck” last fall. This is shed No. 15 for the spring.
