Well taking a break from chasing whitetails. Over the weekend I had some buddies come up from Iowa to do a little bird hunting. This part of South Dakota is great for ph
easant and no one left disappointed. We seen thousands of birds and ended up getting limits everyday. We had four German short hairs, while the birds were extremely spooky we ended up having some great points and getting plenty of shooting. The weather was perfect with temps in the 20′s it concentrated the birds into the thicker cover. Whitetail hunting becomes so serious that this hunt I look forward to each year to take a break and relax from the long season.
