Destination Whitetail returns to the mysterious paradise that is Quebec’s Anticosti Island in the latest episode, airing on the Sportsman Channel this Wednesday night.
After last week’s history lesson in part one of Destination Whitetail’s “Anticosti Island Adventure,” the team continues the journey with two lifelong visitors to the island. Recognized as one of the great whitetail hunting adventures, Mike Blaisdell and Mark Cote have been hunting on Anticosti Island for 30 seasons and 18 seasons, respectively. Join the cameras as they chase white-tailed deer through the island’s many ecosystems and learn why this particular area is so special for hunters.
Viewers will enjoy breathtaking views of the snowy island throughout the episode as Blaisdell and Cote pursue deer, many of which have never set eyes on a human being.
Tune in to Destination Whitetail tonight for the conclusion of the two-part Anticosti Island episode. Destination Whitetail airs on the Sportsman Channel on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. EST and 11:30 p.m. EST, plus an additional showing on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. EST.
Destination Whitetail, produced by F+W Outdoors, premiered in 2012 on the Sportsman Channel. The series investigates the people, places and ways to hunt whitetail throughout North America. In the 43 states that have deer populations, their habitat varies as greatly as the traditions and methods used to hunt them.
Destination Whitetail goes behind the scenes with some of the outdoor industry’s most prolific personalities and learns how whitetails have contributed to their success. After its first season, Destination Whitetail was named a finalist for the 2012 Sportsman Choice Awards for “Best New Series.”
