Back in 2010, Wicked Ridge arrived as an offshoot of TenPoint Crossbows. The idea was simple: TenPoint already ruled the high-end crossbow market, but there was a large contingent of hunters entering the sport who were looking for a quality entry-level crossbow. Wicked Ridge quickly captured this market with entry-priced products with some upper-level features.
This year, Wicked Ridge is still offering those great entry level crossbow packages. However, they are also now offering a higher-end model to the loyal consumers they hooked with their great beginner-level bows. Enter the Wicked Ridge Raider CLS.
The Raider CLS features an economically executed variation of TenPoint’s powerful Compact Limb System (CLS) bow assembly. Its 12-inch IsoTaper Limbs are fitted with MR cams to create a smooth-handling, high-performance crossbow that shoots 330 fps with 101.6 foot-pounds of kinetic energy.
The Raider weighs in at just 7 pounds, and its stock is fitted with a safety-engineered winged fore-grip designed to help prevent finger and thumb injuries.
The Raider CLS also comes equipped with a TenPoint 3x Multi-Line Scope and, like all Wicked Ridge models, it features TenPoint’s patented DFI (dry-fire-inhibitor) and patented 3.5-pound PowerTouch trigger. This trigger is one of the best on the market, and it is a critical component to accuracy.
The Raider package also comes standard with the patented ACU-52, which reduces the effort required to cock the crossbow by 50 percent.
Quite simply, Wicked Ridge has stepped up its game to the level of its big brother, and crossbow fans now have a multitude of options for every price point.
