Wind, Sneaky Stalk and a Great Shot on a Monster 10-Point Iowa Buck

With the wind howling, deer acting wary and just out of range, and only two days left before his hunt ended, Eric Hale had to make something happen.

He’d done everything right so far with stand placement and waiting for a good shot. A solid 10-point buck had been tantalizingly close, too, but Hale didn’t take a chance with his bow.

But things finally hit a point and, well, Hale had to grind it out. Like a football team drawing plays in the dirt, he made a critical decision and then let his NAP Broadhead fly.
