Get a copy. Young, old, new to hunting, done it for 167 years, don't care, you should own the D&DH DVD's if you go out to the woods and hunt whitetail deer. The information is invaluable, and interesting to watch even for those who don't hunt deer.
I save every issue of the magazine and will save every season on DVD that comes out. I re-read the magazines all year and watch the T.V. show on DVD all year, it's a great refresher. It's not just another show where you get to watch guys pay to shoot deer in a bucket; in fact, there is very little actual hunting footage. What footage there is of someone hunting is directly tied into the "lesson" of the episode and is often of the very researchers that put the show and magazine together. It teaches you about deer, why they do what they do, and how you can apply that to be successful in the wild woods chasing deers. No high fences here.
Get it, and show it to your friends. But only show the friends you don't hunt with, or they might get the big deer before you do next year!
