Deer Hunting shows

I saw the same show, when I saw the shot I said to my wife, "that's a bad shot".  Was equally surprised when they came back from commercial and said otherwise.
 
Wish I had the luxury of reviewing the footage of all my shots.

A big waste of money and time is the little computer-generated icon of the buck in the corner of the screen and the "Shot Placement" arrow showing the perfect vitals shot.  I would bet 99% of the time it shows a "perfect" shot, even when the slow motion replay shows it too far back or too low.  What a crock!

Ted used to always show a perfect shot with that thing - he's gotten better as of late though.
 
The one they use on D&DH TV seems to be pretty accurate though.
 
I think they also use it on Archer's Choice - haven't watched it in a while so really can't say.

I enjoy watching it even though i know its about as real as pro wrestling.

It gets the blood going for my next hunt.

As long as i know its fake/fixed then it doesnt bother me i guess. I will continue to watch it and that is what they want as videographers so they suceeded.

Any of you think survivor is real?? Yeah right. Im sure they are all sleeping in a Hilton at night.

I am assuming you are not including shoulder blade shots? A bullet through the shoulder blade will drop them on the spot every time. It depends on the angle but you will get the lungs sometimes on this shot. Usually not but sometimes you will. SS66

I quit watching these as I have gotten tired of seeing high 5;s, chest bumps and talking on stand right before the deer show up. Then after the shot they walk up to the deer on camera, wish I had that cameraman hunting with me. I saw one show where Jackie Bushman had a telephone pole put in a hedgerow. It was skylined, but a big ole deer came in anyway. Last time I tried that every deer that came by ran the other way. Basically these shows aren't even realistic.

"Horn porn" is just that.....entertainment. And like the other porn, it also has very little to do with reality.
