Deer Flagging

In the article by John Ozoga about why deer flag,and does do it more than bucks? Have any of you ever noticed when a doe walks in front of her fawns she'll stick her tail straight up,no matter how old her "fawns" are?

I've noticed that....and a lot of it has to do with making it easier for them to follow or be seen I believe.  Kind of like follow the leader!   I've also noticed that they will all have their tails up at the same time if they are jogging or running away...Not just the mature doe/mother.

They must have learned it from hunters who use surveyors flagging tape to mark the path to their stand. [:D]
