I've been watching this PA 14 pter (typ 6x5 w/ split brow, "unicorn" point, and kicker off lft g3) since mid May, and have him thoroughly patterned. I hope to harvest him early in the season, hopefully on the evening of the opener. The mast is hit-and-miss in my neck of the woods, but on the particular property in which this brute resides it factors heavily into my early season gameplan.
Obviously this is an exceptionally large-racked buck for my area, but this year he's not leading my hit list in antler size. That honor goes to a massive typical that I've been trying to harvest for years, coming close on one occasion. I won't even venture an estimate as to how high that typical buck's rack would score, but I don't doubt that it would easily surpass the 14 pointer's, abnormal points and all.
