After viewing your pics, all I can say is "WOW!"

Congrats on those bucks. They are incredible.

Wow what a buck.... Heaviest WI buck is 321. I bet you were close to that. If I got one that size, I'd be looking for a certified scale.

I shot one with the bow on Halloween night 2003 that was 258 lbs live weight. Hurt my back hoisting him up on the scale so I never reweighed him dressed. The taxidermist used the largest form ever in twenty five years on that hog and when I took in this years buck he still remembered that buck from several years ago. I agree with the long deer carrying the most weight. My buck this year was huge in the chest but the stubby body kept him from clearing the 200 lb mark.

My heaviest buck tipped a certified scale to 236 field dressed. However, it didn't even win the big buck contest that year. The winner was 254 dressed! In my experience, it seems those truly heavy bucks get the weight from being really long.

I'm from Ontario, Canada and have more interest in heavy bucks than antler scoring, so you're article got my attention. I do have one question - why was Boyd Jones 1972 335lb Georgia buck omitted from your list. I don't know anything about this buck, other than it is mentioned in Leonard Lee Rue's "Deer of North America".

Thanks in advance,

209lbs dressed in Pennsylvania, the deer was a 17" inside spread 6 point. The deer was immense.
