Illegal Deer Take

Postby BigAl » Thu Dec 09, 2010 11:52 pm

In a recent publication, I read whereas the conservation department (don't remember the state) posed as taxidermists and put the pinch a fairly large percentage of poachers. What month was that and what was the name of the article? Thanks.

I seem to remember reading that too, Big Al, but I don't remember where.

I think in every state, though, wildlife conservation officers visit taxidermist shops in the regular course of their duties.

Thanks...I'm glad to be on this site. I've subscribed to D&DH for many years and read their publications long before that...back when they were the Stumpsitters!

Yes, I'm aware of the fact that COs stop into taxidermy shops somewhat regularly but, I believe, this was an instance whereas they were actually posing as the taxidermists. Hopefully someone will remember the article/monthly pub.
