2010 ohio rut report

Rut really seems to be turning on. I noticed a big change in deer activity over the weekend. I saw an amazing chase with 5 bucks on one doe with a three way fight of 1.5 yr old bucks, this chase was at 12:15 so keep that 10-2 set in mind during this phase. The weather has been cool and the crops are almost off I would say its not in full swing but things are sure getting interesting. If the weather keeps cool weekend will be the time to find that stand. I'm from northern richland county, ohio. Let us know what activity your seeing!

Same thing here in Swampeast Missouri! Hunted Thursday and Friday but was unable to hunt the rest of the weekend do to an ill kid, but those 2 days were full of action. Majority of the action took place after 10 AM both days. Friday was really good. Saw 11 different bucks and 8 within a half hour, 2 of which were shooters in my book, 140 or better. Didn't have a good shot opportunity at those 2, but had a great hunt as always.
