Camo Dipping

Has anyone had their gun camo dipped. Been researching it and it looks cool. If you have who did it and what is the price range.

If you gotta dip, then you gotta dip.  However, I did a piece last year on spray painting my turkey gun.  The paint job looked so good, I sprayed my deer barrel as well:

I did it with Krylon Fusion, the new bonds-to-everything spray paint.   The nice thing of it is, that when it gets scratched up, a $4 can of spray paint will fix it.

WOW Shaman that looks good. It looks like you base coated them added color. Is there any prep wok, ie: sanding stripping, priming? Was the gun blued or matte, thinkin about doing an 11-87 premier, it got real scratched up using a saddle scope mount.

shaman, that turned out real nice.  Another quick way to camo up your gun is to buy camo tape.  It costs about 5 dollars.  Just cut strips to form to your gun.  The tape has a smooth finish and will protect your gun from moisture.  Just make sure to wipe it down good after a rainy day afeild, and be sure to remove it at the end of the season.  I did this for my duck hunting gun and it worked great.

No serious prep work.  I had to remove all the old tape-- that tape left a REALLY gnarly residue.  The original finish was blued.  The hard part is masking off everything you don't want painted.

As far as priming, the Krylon Fusion is its own primer.  All I did was A) spray everything one color (tan) and then go back and spray everything another color (black) to make sure I'd covered everything.
