I bought one 2 years ago and sold it this year.
Bought it on a splurge and didn't really need it.
It was the 7mm08 , accuracy WAS an issue!!!
Not terrible though. I still killed a deer cleanly.
I believe that it has to do with the gun being so short and light weight.
For a youth gun, I didn't expect it to kick like it did.
I wouldn't think the 243 would be as bad, just a guess.
All in all, you get what you pay for.
It's a gun, and it shoots and it doesn't cost much.
If you're like the rest of us and you have shallow pockets, I don't think that it's a bad gun to start out with.
He'll get older and you'll get more guns, so why not.
