Gun prices

A friend of mine wanted a 44 mag like mine. I've got a Ruger New Model Super Black Hawk Hunter 7.5" barrel in stainless steel that I bought last year. Sent him to the same place, Gander Mountain, same gun 1 year later is $100 more. Did all guns go up in price in the last year? Is $650 Now the going rate for this gun? What does that make mine worth now? I've only fired it 6 times, 1 each chamber. If all guns went up that much, I'm going to have to insure my guns for more.

Yep they all went up, Especially imported stuff since the dollar is so weak right now. Look at some of the beretta and benelli stuff. Its INSANE.
 
I bought a benelli SS 4 years ago and used it for trap/skeet and pheasant hunting every year since and got 250 more for it than i paid for it 4 years ago on trade a couple months ago.

Thats a sweet gun, I've been looking that that exact gun for a few years. You definently can't hurt it, its built like a bridge...lol

You want to talk about prices going up ck out Kimber! I have a Kimber Compact Custom .45 caliber I bought 6 years ago to use as a concealed carry weapon.  I paid $600.00 for it new  with a match grade barrel and custom trigger from Kimber. The same exact gun was on display at local dealer on consignment last week and they wanted $1800.00 for it used.

We hit the on line auctions...takes some time but you can sometimes hit some great prices on really nice guns...make sure your adding in shipping and dealer transfer when bidding and you can get in below local costs

Another reason guns & ammo went up is because of the prices for metals were through the roof early last year.They are now down 50-70 percent.I know some guys who sell scrap iron that were getting $200.00 a ton last spring but only about 65.00 by October.Copper & lead are way down too.Ammo finally started dropping around here,last week I bought some Federal .270 shells for $15.00 & a box of 16 gauge for $5.00 at our local Runnings store.
