Good day at the range

I took all my hunting guns out on monday, and it was great!

My muzzleloader shot about 1"high at 50 yrds, with 2 bullets kissing. I'll take that.

.243 covered a teacup at 50 yrds. This is my son's gun, so as long as it shot consistantly, which it did, I'm happy.

The .30-06 double tapped the 10 ring at 100 yards! One bullet was 1/4" to left of first bullet! Needless to say, I was ecstatic with my autoloader! I have never shot that well at the range, and I finally felt great when I left the range!

I have yet to have that kind of day at the range. Working on it.

Did a little shooting Saturday and fiddled with my muzzleloader and scope. Got windage set and at 25 yards was about an inch high and 2 inches high at 50 yards. Did not get to the 100yard range to see if it is spot on at 100 yards. Hope so. if it is I should have it set for hunting season. Goal is to be dead on at 100 and about 4 to 5 inches low at 150 yards. A center mass shot should put it into vitals from 0-150 yrds... Well that is my logic anyway.

I am getting my wife to go to the range with me next week. The only thing she had ever shot is my .22 lr. I finally convinced her to let me teach her to shoot my .270, and I am going to take her hunting during the 3 day urban zone portion in the beginning of October. Watch her knock down a huge buck.... lol. Wouldn't that be some (%^&.
