New scope

I have been hunting deer with a 20 gauge Mossberg 500 topped with a Bushnell Holosight.  Great combo, but it doesn't really take advantage of the long range accuracy of my gun.  I am going to buy a Bushnell Banner 3x-9x.  My question is should i go with the 3" or 6" eye relief model.  Being a 20 gauge, the gun doesn't kick much, so i wouldn't think eye relief would matter.  The 3" model is currently on sale. Is there any other advantages to longer/shorter eye relief? Thanks

Don't 4get 2 look at Nikon slugmaster, won't break your bank either.

I'd get the longest eye relief out there. I put a Slughunter on my shotgun this year, love the 5 inches of relief.

The 3 inch eye relief will be good in perfect conditions the more eye relief will make a difference in hunting situations with a quick shot when you may not have your stock in your shoulder just right. Go with the 5 or 6 inch eye relief and be on the safe side. I am also looking for a shotgun scope rite now probally going to go with the nikon 1.65x5 slughunter. good luck
