Ithaca featherlight vs Remington 1187 field

I am looking for a gun that i can use for deer hunting, upland and skeet.

I am between a

-ithaca featherlight 12g

-Remington 1187 field 12g

I was going to get a slug barrel for either depending on which one I get.

All i want to know is which would be a better choice for these three uses. I dont want to hear other guns you think are better than these two guns, only out of these two guns which you think would be better for use in deer, upland and skeet

What are you going to use the gun for most?  If upland, then I'd get the Featherlight, if the other two options, I'd choose the heavier gun.  That is if you are susceptible to recoil, if not, then get the Featherlight.

If you are looking for dependability and just an all around better gun, go with the 1187 hands down. The 1187 is one of the best guns on the market that has outperformed many more expensive guns. Although I can't say I have much experience with the Featherlight, I have had experience with some of the other Ithacas. I have over 20 years experience with the Rem. 1187 and it's an incredible gun for the money. Never a failure in any weather shooting clays, birds, deer, etc. I have a Hastings rifled barrel on mine and it really knocks them down at 150 yards plus.

I would use the gun for all three as much as the other maybe a little more skeet in the off season
