What Gun/Guns and Ammo do You Deer Hunt with?

Mossberg 500 with a sabot barrel, 12ga. 3-9X40 scope, copper jacketed sabots.

Remington 7600 in 270 win with a BSA 3x9 wide angle scope. Shoot 130 grain winchester powerpoints. Best 100yrd 5shot grouping could be covered by a quarter. Thats why I have never upgraded the $50.00 scope or changed to premium bullets. DON'T FIX IT IF IT ISN'T BROKE works for me

I use two different 12 GA slug guns. Depending on what I am doing. First is a Tar Hunt DSG built on a Remington Wingmaster receiver. The second is a Marlin 512 Slugmaster. Both are topped with Zeiss Conquest. IN both cases I use Hastings 1 1/14 oz Lazer Magnum slugs.

I hunt with a Remington Semi-Auto 30.06 it was my grandpa's rifle handed down to me when he passed away.

Browning BPS 12ga when in a shotgun zone

And a Remington 50 cal Genesis ML for ML season.

I'm saving for a .270 Browning X-Bolt

Mostly use a Ruger 77R in .280 with a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x scope when stand hunting, and a TC Contender or Dan Wesson 44 Mag when still hunting. Just bought a Browning X-bolt Stainless Stalker in 270 Win with a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x scope, just because I wanted a new one.

Currently deer hunt with 270 Remington 700 ADL that I use Winchester XP3 and Federal Barnes TSX, also have an H&R Handi Rifle in 243 with 85 gr. Barnes TSX for close in stuff. Had a Savage 7 Rem. Mag but sold that cause it kicked like a mule. Have 2 Remington 1100 12 ga. one I bought new in 1967 ($140) it's a 3" mag and still shoots great. Also have my Dad's that he left me. He had a 26" imp. cyl. choke barrel for dove & quail, bought a 30" full choke barrel for squirrel hunting. He liked to reach out and touch 'em. He bought his in 1985 new it was $238. Yes, for you young guys, guns used to be "cheap".

My slug gun is an Ithaca Deerslayer II with a Nikon Prostaff 3 x 6 and Winchester Platinum tip 400 grain sabots.
My muzzleloader is a TC Encore in 50 cal. with a Nikon Buckmaster 3 x 9 and TC Shock Wave Sabots, 250 gr. 100 grains of Triple 7. Also have a TC Omega that just sits in the gun safe these days.
I put a limbsaver on the Ithaca as it's a pretty light gun and kicks hard. That seemed to solve it.

I have a few that I sort of alternate with:

My first rifle, that I got from my dad when I was eleven was a Marlin 336CS in .30/30, shot my first deer with it and still have it and use it.

I have a 1959 Winchester Model 88 in .308 Winchester that I use from time to time.

Remington 700 BDL in 7mm Remington Magnum with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x50mm scope.

Then I just bought a Savage 114 American Classic Stainless in .270 Winchester that I need to put a scope on yet.
