Anyone here use the new Model 220 Savage 20 gauge bolt action slug gun with a fully rifled barrel? Looks like I'll be getting one, and I'm wondering what other hunters have scoped it with (scope and mounts), what ammo has worked best, and what results you've had at the target and in the field.

It's very accurate and a improved design over the 12ga model but you have to slam the bolt when ejecting shells or you'll have feeding problems. Browning is re-introducing their ABolt slug or hopefully you saw that the rifle bill passed for Chautauqua below Rt 20.

I bought the Savage 220f and have to get it to the range to sight it in . I installed a Redfield Revenge 3X9 Accu-Ranger scope on it . I had looked at Nikon , Leopold , Bushnell and Weaver scopes and like the Redfield the best . And yes , I know it was manufactured in the Phillipines and that Leopold is the parent company .
