Sounds like another hunting regulation written by non-hunters.
Where I hunt in West Virginia, coyote's have been moving in and I
decided to check out the hunting regs regarding coyote hunting. I was
pleased to see that they may be hunted year-round; however, when
hunting outside the normal deer/small-game seasons, you are only
allowed to hunt in fields. That rules me out........our land is virtually
all woods. Guess it has to do with having a gun in the woods during
the non-game season and DNR having to determine who is hunting
what. I have never hunted coyote's but I suppose it makes
sense to hunt them from a field.
It isn't what happens to us, it is how we deal with it, that matters most.
