I planted a clover/chicory blend in a 1/2 acre food plot last spring and as of right now the plot is being over run by grass weeds. I have an extensive farming back ground and have tried to implement mowing to control this issue but it has only helped a small amount. Does anyone know what type of herbicide would be recommended on these two plants. I am unfamiliar with chicory and have never planted it before. Thanks guys.
I feel like I am looking into a mirror when reading your post. I planted the same thing and am having the same problems.
The Whitetail Institute makes something called "Arrest" that kills grasses in clover and chickory. I have been looking into buying some and when I went to get some today at a local store they were sold out.
My buddy used Arrest in his clover/chicory plot and it worked great on the grasses.
Unfortunately mowing is best on broad leaf weeds and not the greatest for grasses.

Poast Plus will also work for the grass problem. Same as Arrest, just less expensive.
