Heres a few pics of the long narrow plot I hope to get done this year...but the snag in land deal "seems" to have cleared and paper work is out to be signed ...which moves closing date and costs us more $...so we'll see everything is time and money...and I have yet to hit camps work [&o]...also a couple of water hole I put in...

Was out scouting and shed hunting today and got up in one of my stands and took some pics.  This stand overlooks (as of last year) a bean field and biologic maximum plot, then further in the distance a hay field and alpha rack plus plot.  One of my favorite stands!

The last pic is shooting down at the Maximum plot.  This last year was the first year I planted it and was extremely impressed.  It was probably only about an acre plot or maybe even a bit smaller, and the deer just hammered it starting in about late October/early November.  Very good rut stand as well as gun hunting stand!

Pretty nice place you've got there buckhunter....good sized plot fields mixed with hardwoods and is that a pine plantation/tree farm? in the background...good cover...nice pics.....most of our place is mixed hard woods...our biggest open field is about 3 acres right on the road and along property line.... I won't plant that until our pines fill in better..the other is the goats pasture and garden area...the acre along property line I hope to start preparing this year..... now that I have enough chain link fencing to put up....We have a 10acre hayfield pretty much in our front yard but a horse farmer owns it..can't get him to sell[&o]
 
 Our land deal contract is up today and the guy is well... pulling a "forest Gump"...Had confirmed the offer through e-mails and on the phone before going to the lawyers....Then because he made me uneasy ..things were delayed because he hid a deal he had with conservancy...They had deed and abstract in their hands but no WRITTEN CONTRACT...so we had to get him to contact them and get everything back...OK with that done sent out contract we agreed upon and now he is trying to change it....If he counter offers at this time... deal is off table..but because he e-mailed saying he was waiting to discuss wording in offer ..He is already runout of time and my patients...don't want the land that bad..I think he feels we won't withdraw because of lawyer fees... but he's sadly mistaken...We've been back and forth with him for 4yrs and had dropped it last year... Ihen he came back to us again...I'm glad that I save every single e-mail and then copied and have them at lawyers...I may take action...We'll see

Thanks msbadger!  Yea, we love what we have here.  This is an 80 acre section.  We usually get some pretty good sightings over here, compared to our other area.  The hunters are more cautious about what they shoot, etc, versus out other area which is a 40, brown is down it seems like.  I don't think I'll be taking any does off that property for a couple years...
