Two days of warm weather so most snow melted....but a 20+ degree drop will accure today and rain turns to snow....good cold snap 20's for the next week....went out yesterday and cleaned up the limbs and tops I cut in January ...then will start more trimming  on Sunday ....deer managed to gleam every single bud from the first cutting.....the snow melt should help ...they've been nawing the turnips still frozen in the ground....last night and this a.m. should soften this up so they can dig a few up...
 Looks like I'll have to put a hold on some plots this year....still haven't had time to hit camp to work and the new land is in the process of papers traveling from signings ...closing date is set ...so time and cash will be tied up this year....will be preparing sites and adding new stands ect....ect......How are you coming along on prodjects

Got the soil tests done today and i was pleasantly surprised by the results, the one field we will be tilling is pretty neutral (should we lime it at all or anything?) We thought it would be rather neutral, but it was good to finally know! The other in-woods plot we will be doing was a bit Alkaline and we will have to lime properly, still have to take about 2 other ones and get ready to tear the ground up! Had an exciting day in the woods today im gonna post my day afield in another more relevant topic thread!

DD4 sounds like things are looking good for the spring...Shaman ...I was hopeing to do same butaaahhh..time[8|]..
 I was doing brush again and decided to take some pics of a few of my ground blinds...theses have old boat seats in them..I scounge every thing..[;)]...they need some build up after winter but thats easy...

Thnaks, im getting pretty excited! And nice blinds MsB! They looks really good and concealed im normally sitting on a stump or downed tree when im in a ground blind a van/car seat might be a lil more comfy haha! Not sure i could get out of it after a long sit though [:D]

Thanks guys ..I have just as many with out seats...I made a portable seat out of one of those low beach folding chairs...paint and brown plether seat I made...DD4 I've taken some mighty fine naps in those blinds..[;)]
 
Hey checked and will be able to get my buck wheat at between 32-35 dollars a 50lb bag.....will be in in a few weeks

I'm sure that's what I would end up doing at times [:D] Sometimes I think being a little uncomfortable is the only keeping me awake during slow hunts in the morning lol!
