Weed Killer

Has anyone ever tried Gordon's brand weed killers? I was at tractor supply today and it is pretty cheap compared to others. I have used Round Up and Eliminator before but I was just wondering if anyone had any info on this stuff. Something I noticed about this stuff is that it says you need to wait 3 weeks after you spray before you plant when I know Round Up you can plant like 24 hours after you spray.

The Gordons brand has been around for a while.
 
Here's a few questions:
 
1. Is there weed killer a systemic type herbicide like Round Up? Or does it take it up through the roots?
 
2. Does it contain a surfactant, like the concentrated forms of Round Up do, like Round Up Pro?

There were several different kinds. I was looking at them for a bit but I had the g/f with me so I couldnt look for too long. I grabbed a brochure but it didnt say much. I read it contained glyphosate which is used in roundup which is a surfactant it said.
For the price difference I was curious if anyone has ever used it and their experiences with it or if I should just shell out more $ for the roundup (it is nice not having to wait 3 weeks after spraying)

I've seen it at T/C farms but not used it ....compare the % of gyphosate to round up....I use Erase from agway

Do you know how much off hand Erase usually costs? (for the sq ft it does)

Generic roundup has many different names. If it is 41% gly. and yellow or brown in color the surfactant is already in it. Last year I payed $65.00 for 2 1/2 gal, the year before $39.00. Just shop around for the best deal. 1 1/2 to 2 qts. per ac. will give you a good kill.
