using dogs for blood trailing

if any of you guys want to use a dog to blood trail try a blue lacy game dog. I use them and their awesome.

Whats a Blue Lacy?  Got any pics?  I have deer hounds and generally use whatever is handy to trail but my favorite was the Bluetick that can be seen to the left.  He would not leave a trail and loved the taste of deer meat but only if you gave it to him.  Another thing I loved about him was you could leave him with a downed deer and he would guard it against other dogs or yotes for as long as it took for you to get back to him.  The only hold up with him was he would not bay so if you let him off the line you had to go find him and the deer...and as he got older he would go to sleep when he found the deer...some dogs really are solar powered.

True but some times the blood piters out.
 
I used my Jack Russell couple years ago he did good.
