Shed hunting

well i know this guy has made it through the season so i'll be looking for his sheds and even better looking forward to hunting him next year

I found a skull of a 6 pointer that looked like it's been there a year. The antlers, although weathered, were fine. I brought it home and left it by my shed. I came back out and some rodent had chewed off all the points in an afternoon. I had to laugh, go figure.

Any tricks on south fl shed hunting? Time places to look etc?

I've never found one!
Down side is with our weather and lack of freeze and rodents, we pretty much have stuff eaten pretty quick. Add that with the freakin wacked (late) breeding, by the time they drop, 90% of the state is hot and getting the rains.
I know there are guys that do find them.......I haven't

i do it the easy way put a livestock panel up and pour corn along it!

Well I didn't find any sheds this past Saturday, but I did find an awesome spot to set-up in a ground blind next fall.  The food source on the farm doesn't change, the deer are still going out into the snow covered alfalfa fields to dig up some grub.  The main travel route shouldn't change much throughout the year either then.  Now I can't wait to start preping for next year's hunts!

went out shed hunting all day saturday.. no sheds.. found 3 dead deer. one doe two spike bucks.. saw around 15-18 deer. also 5 turkeys.. great day hiking around the woods..

I was out in the woods last weekend found my first two sheds ever including one non-typical, also saw a bald eagle it was a pretty good day
