Info about hunting hogs in Florida

Postby rweyman » Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:52 am

My In-laws just bought a place in the Punta Gorda area. While my wife and I were down there last month, I was speaking to a neighbor who said that hog hunting was open year round and no license or permit was required to hunt them. I was wandering if anyone knew if this was true, and if there were any public hunting areas close to the Punta Gorda area to hunt them.

Lotso hogs down that way.
If I recall last year one of the major league teams had them all over thier training area parking lot etc.

My neighbor has pvt land north of here, its open season (his freezer however has become full)

I was hoping to find something to do other than going to the beach, and fishing. Sailfish, you think your neighbor would like some help reducing the herd!! I've never hunted hogs and would love a new challenge.
