Well? Anybody have any luck last weekend? I saw a bunch of does and a 6 point that tempted me, but I tried to get in the good graces of the hunting gods by letting him walk. I won't be back in the woods for another 9 days.

Lucky you. We still have 6 days till it starts in Michigan. Dont you hunt in Michigan for rifle? Where do you hunt at?

My "quasi" hunting partner made it out. He has a buddy with a lease near Jax. Actually its a lease within a lease kind of thing. 300 acres within 1000's from what I am told.
Anyways, he saw one doe, and a hog. Nothing closer than 80 yards (as you know it's archery right now). The other 3 guys shot zero deer and two hogs (non recovered).
Strangely the reports have been sparse so far. Maybe it was all the flooding in some area's??
I am unable to get out until Nov 1

Season starts Saturday here in the central zone. Unfortunatly I wont be able to go until Monday and Tuesday but I hope to report a kill. It would be my first with a bow.
