Sorry, but this is incorrect. The height of the scope changes the trajectory in relation to the boreline but the difference between a 40mm scope and a 50mm scope is minimal.
Where this likely comes from is that most people who use a higher scope don't take the steps necessary to get a proper cheek weld. Instead they wind up with a jaw weld or worse which greatly affects accuracy.
