Its been raining here in Virginia for 4 days straight. Glad I didnt have my hunt planned.
What are some of the positives, if any, from hunting in the rain?
I guess it helps control scent? Whats your opinion on that?
Also, muffles your own sound, while walking and otherwise....
Anything else on the bright side?

I don't bow hunt in the rain. I won't compromise not being able to follow a blood trail.
Gun hunting is another matter. I actually prefer damp days with light rain. It muffles the sound, and makes stalking a lot easier. Deer seem to be more at ease on these days, as most sane hunters are home or in camp.
