I try to be in my stand and quite 45-30 mins before sun up.  I try and sit until 10AM or later depending on activity and temps (the colder the better).

For the PM hunts I try to get back up in the stand for 3 hours or so.
That's why they call it hunting and not getting

For the first couple of days I will try to stay in the stand almost all day , if necessary . If there is a real lull with no deer sighting , I will go back to my vehicle to get something to drink and get my circulation going . If the wind has shifted , I will probably change stands . I wear a STS body harness so if I nod off , I can't fall too far .

Usually 3 to 4 hours in the mornings/evenings and sometimes both when time and schedule allow. During the rut longer as well as a couple all day sits. During gun season all day but not from the same location.
