Uv killer in snow??

Postby Dwtwentytwo » Sat Feb 08, 2014 11:17 pm

So I understand some animals see uv light and to protect from being seen people use uv killer, but snow does reflect uv light so would you really have to use uv killer on your clothes? I wear plain white shirt should I bleach it brighter to match the snow or uv killer it?

Not sure if you are really asking a question, but last year four of us were hunting in layout blinds in the snow. Two of us were using store bought white snow covers for our blinds and two used white sheets cut to fit the blinds. Birds were flaring. I had taken a picture of the blinds at the end of the day and the sheets had a blue hue to them, while the store bought ones did not. The material used does seem to matter.
Keep life simple...if you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.
