Great story. I was really into reading it and seemed like I was reading it faster as you started stalking him! The best part was that you got him, I was waiting for a sad ending. Congrats on a beautiful trophy!

I prob would of done the same thing as you jph, i want to say i would of sat still that night, and set up a ground blind by their trail the next day, but if i saw that deer consistantly for a few days in a row i would be thinking " damn how many times am i going to see him before hes gone?" And then that thought would of probably consumed me and i would have to get down and try to stalk him. Especially if he was trying to get with a doe. Like you said prob not the most mature thing, but i wouldn't of been able to hold back either. But great story!!! And an awesome buck! Congrats!!
