Does any one else usa a 30-30?

A few years ago I bought a Marlin 30-30 with scope. So far its one the best rifle's I own The other is a 35 Cal Marlin. Both are lever actions. Am I alone here? You can see a few pics of my biggest deer in the photo section " My Biggest Deer" and a tired,wet and cold me, using my 30-30.

I own and still use a Marlin .35 lever...in fact I use it every season. It has a peep sight, no scope. Extremely accurate and reliable. I mostly carry a BAR .308 scoped, but the little Marlin is carried when I still hunt or we do drives. I've killed alot of deer with the Marlin. Once, in my younger days, I met up with a hunting partner who was sitting atop a steep ridge. We sat together and talked quietly. It was early afternoon and there wasn't much deer activity. A grouse appeared about 35 yards downslope from us. To show off I told my buddy I could shoot the head off of the grouse. He scoffed.
I shouldered the Marlin and shot. The grouse flopped over, drumming it's wings. I retrieved it and it's perfectly severed head. Probably a lucky shot but quite a memory. We had grouse breast and backstraps for dinner that night.

I've got a 30-30 but never use it for much.

My dad has shot many, MANY deer with his 30-30 though.

The 30.30 arguably has killed more deer than any other caliber; at least in Wisconsin. Remains a great cartridge...a great gun...sadly overlooked now.

I killed my first deer with a 30-30.  Several more and then switched to a 30-06.  I still love to shoot the old 30-30.  It's a great gun for hunting thick cover areas where you have shorter shots.  Thats fairly common here in VA.

My first deer rifle was a 30-30, hunted with it for years, wife bought me a 30-06 a few years back, hunted with it for several years, both very good for deer

Started hunting with the 30-30 aswell killed a few deer with it. Personal opinion it is still one of the greatest deer rifles made and one of the best brush guns on the planet.. I will be picking up another soon so my kids can use it to start deer hunting....

I bought my first deer rifle when I was 13, a Marlin 30-30
 I traded it for a bolt action .270 when I was 18 and have used that rifle since. I wish I had my 30-30 back, especially since the new leverevolution ammo has come out. Lever actions hold a special place for me. My favorite plinking rifle is a Marlin Origional Golden .22 .   More fun than a barrel of monkeys!

I got a mod 94 30.30 biult in 1921 sadle ring carbine saved my paper rout monny that was 34 years ago I LOVE THAT RIFLE the only thing thats blows thought the brush better is my 54cal. and if I got room 4 a shoot my semi costom rem 721 30.06 sorry dont got a pic of 30.30 do yall like my back drop

I've hunted many years with my Win.94 lever action.Passing it on to grand kids now.
