With the fresh snow, now would be a good time to follow the tracks in the swamp and get a sense of where they entering/ exiting the swamp. Of course you don't want to get to close in and spook'em, just far enough to get a sense of where to set up. be interested to hear what you find.
Definitely. I'm going to be at my place from the day after Christmas until January 4. Planning on lots of post-season scouting and that small swamp is at the top of my list. 6 of the deer I saw this weekend melted into it after working the edge of the oaks and clearcut. I'll keep you posted.
