I would add one thing. DO NOT do as my Dad did, one evening, while target shooting with a 30-06. The kick was getting to him so he backed up his shoulder with a tree for the nexy shot, and the recoil almost hammered his shoulder to paste! Nothing broken, but he will never do that again, and re hasn't shot that gun in 10 years! We have, but he has found other guns more to his likeing since then

The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.
