setting up a blind outside a soybean field

How long can you sit a ground blind outside a soybean field? Do deer feed after the field is cut?

We had 55 acres of soybeans right behind the house last year. Deer were hitting it constantly while the leaves were green. When the leaves yellowed up, the deer were gone. (coulda been because the acorns started dropping). After we combined the beans, all we saw was a little pass through traffic to get to the neighbors cornfields. I didn't see a deer actually feeding in the picked beanfield until early December when a knothead was plowing snow with his nose.

I agree with Wanderer (I think you are in Indiana). Here in Northern IL it is the same thing. They will visit the beans earlier but now the beans are beginning to turn & they must not be as tasty.

I noticed the acorns are falling so as mentioned, that might be an issue along with apples falling.

It might depend on your area. Where are you located?

Not seeing much in the bean fields in WI anymore, either.

Located in southwest Ohio. Figure that I'll stay where I am until harvesting and then move more into the woods. There is another field behind that I hunted last year that was left fallow. I do not know at this time what is planted there if anything. Thanks for the replys.

I would concur. They eat the tips off out beans when they are green, then don't come back until later in December/January to finnish up what the combine misses.
