I don't understand why people are paying such big bucks for trail cam picture viewers. You can do this with a $20 digital camera that uses the same cards.
I have done this for years. I take the cheap camera with me in my pocket.
when i get to my cameras in the woods, i pull out card to see if there is anything on it. if there is then I put a spare card in the trail camera and move on. If i wanted to spend time looking over all the pics i can do that too.
but why would anyone pay hundreds for something that they probably already have at home for free? why do you need a special card reader??

seriously, I don't get it. can anyone explain it to me?

Try one of the old Palm Pilots, It has a large color screen, uses the microSD cards, and you can get them on Ebay for something like $15.00. ;)
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.
