I know Bass Pro was supposed to have a sweet deal on the Moultrie D-40's but I went online and have not seen it.  I happened to go by the Cabelas in Hartford and stopped in...in the basement cave they have D-40's for $71.99, I picked me up another so I now have 3 ea and should be set for a while.

Are they online for this much as well?  I have one, and would like to get a couple more.  Also, does anyone know a cheaper product to hold the cameras (like a tripod) so you don't have to put them on trees, etc?  I have one, can't remember the name of it, but it works great cept for that it's about $100.

Thanks!

Sorry brother, its only in stores in their Bargain Caves...if you have a store nearby its worth the trip..of course the downfall is you go there with the intent of buying a $71 camera...walk-out $300 dollars later scratching your head and figuring out what your going to tell the wife!

Buckhunter I have a trailpod that I bought at the Madison deer and turkey expo this past spring and I think it was 40 dollars but could have been 50.  So far it has worked great for me.

I hear ya.  I have one that's about 45 min on the other side of me at work here, so that's 45 min there, 45 back here, and then 35 min back home!  LOL  We'll see.  The gas I spend may not be worth it.  Thanks for the info though....Maybe something will come up soon for an online sale!

Ok yup that's the same one I have.  Hm.  Thought I spent more for it.  Wonder if they came down in price or not?

I hunt public land and have bushnell, moulties and stealth cams. I dont want to lose any 200-300 camera to theft so I try to only put the low end cameras out. I do use lock and chain and camo with leaves and brush to hide from deer and theifs. I've not lost a one to theft but I've had two chewed up by bear, lost a couple of cameras but got some great upclose bear pics - lol

Academy sports has the rem ghost ir camera for 59 int he sunday flyer, so I drove the 90 miles to the nearest monday morning in the hope of getting a couple. Of couse they were out of stock and no rain checks, I was told to call back wens, thur and fri mornings to see if any came in on the trucks. I was thinking of buying their wildcam ir for 89.00, Ive see pics off these and thery're not that bad for 89. Here's a link showing a reveiw of most cameras, hopes it helps!

I bought a twin pak of wildgame innovation S-2 cams for public land. They were not even worth the cheap price. They didn't function properly. I got a wildview 5.0 for $89 and it works great for the price. It doesn't beat out my Moultrie M-40, but I paid a little more for the Moultree. If anyone is thinking of getting a WILDGAME INNOVATION TIMBERVIEW -------don't.
